Exactly, Smacks of guys out of their prime saying


No worse than grinding out Westerns back in the 40s 50s and 60s it's entertainment.

I get tired of the same endings too, some huge spaceship of destruction teetering over the city while the hero and villain battle it out for control.

But on the other hand, GofTG actually did some character development, eg, the "Illustrated Man" learning that no matter how strong he was, wasn't strong enought type stufff. Not deep, but you learned something about each of them. Also like the Black Widow joke when Capt America re-emerges after 50 years, "So, you haven't been on a date in 50 years" Wink Wink to grownups watching this film.

But back to the point, sounds like a sour old auteur unhappy he's not still in the limelight.
