Taxes can be political, certainly. As for 'another sales tax', well the


question there becomes "OK, voters said no to an added sales tax, but we're still going to get the money somehow....so what should we tax instead or what tax should we raise." So you may have just accidentally voted for a raise in your property tax, or assessment. Which might be the better way to get those funds, who knows.

Or maybe the governing body that wanted to raise that sales tax will decide to cut spending instead, following the will of the people?




Ooops, sorry, back now....I had to keep from crapping myself from laughing so hard. Yes, successfully.
