Personally I don't have a problem with consumption taxes. They go to those

who use something. I don't think food taxes are great as it hurts more local businesses that are already being taxed. It really is a wealth tax to some extent because it hits discretionary spend. Now I do have a problem with income tax because it creates a disincentive and hits those who don't have a loop hole to jump through.
