Well all I know is that with Comcast I had years of intermittent internet

failure. Seemed to always happen on a Saturday or Sunday, I'd lose internet connectivity for several hours. I'd call customer support and they would confirm that no signal was getting through. But all they could do was schedule a technician to come out on a week day, 4 or 5 days later. These outages typically lasted 5-12 hours so of course it was working when the technician came out. He'd say some mumbo jumbo about putting in a booster or tightening a connection and go on his way (and of course I had to take off work to be home when he would come by).

This happened literally 10 times or more. Each time I would tell Comcast that sending a technician 4 or 5 days later would do NOTHING. But that's all they would ever do. Each time it happened my call to their service desk was like a new incident, they could look up the previous history but I had to explain over and over again that it was a recurring problem. They would NEVER send someone right away. One time they promised me they would send a "senior grade technician" in 4 or 5 days. Well there's no way the kid they sent was any kind of senior grade technician. They had lied to me just to get off the phone.

So when FIOS came to my neighborhood I switched. It's been more than a decade and I have NEVER ONCE lost my internet for hours at a time. Not once.

So you can say they are all "one big corporation" but the product I'm getting sure isn't the same. Comcast can burn in hell, they will never get a penny of my business again.
