But he’s not
Using PEDs... he’s supposedly using recreational drugs. Not the WADA or the USADA or the NCAA considers coke a PED, and that’s based in science. Maybe if it was meth, I’d feel a little different (given how Germany practically conquered half of Europe thanks to meth), but I have a hard time finding the desire to punish someone for recreational drug use. If anything, I think we should treat it like a disease and help him with treatment, not ostracize him.
But that’s just my opinion. Regardless, the big issue I have with this whole thing is I felt like it was being built up to a Bolen v Zahid match and now we won’t get to see it. I want to see the best wrestle the best... always. That’s why I love the sport. And I guess I’m just bothered by the celebrations I’ve seen on this board now that we don’t get a chance to see it.
As a fan and competitor, I never want to doubt who the best wrestler is. I don’t want the refs to interfere, I don’t want injuries to occur and I don’t want to see suspensions happen. I know those are all facts of life, but it doesn’t mean I can’t want them to be non factors.
