A few spots yes...
More than anything it makes me feel more confident in the prediction that next year will be a significant improvement. Objectively (using my head) I would have said we would be in the mix for ACC and might get back in the Top 8 at NCAAs with 4-6 AAs. Now I am thinking we can be frontrunner for ACC and maybe another AA or two. Over the weekend (outside of ACCT) Ulrey, Hillegas and Catka continue to impress before even getting to Blacksburg. One or two of these guys may be starters right out of the gate. 1) Bolen proved he can finish when it counts...the Nino match was not the start of a trend in the other direction - it was just a moment. 2) Andonian continues to impress and watching him during the ACC live tells me that he is definitely AA quality next year (if not this year). And the fact he is doing so well portends that Conner Brady is the real deal too. 3) Some want to dwell on BC and Stan's first match and lower than seed finish, but I like to look at Prata, McF, Hughes, and Borst all wrestling to above seed, which tells me there are good things happening in practice.
So yeah I am a bit more excited for next year than I was previously. Generally, things continue to trend up not down IMO...even with the team finish of 5th...which might have been different had Moore wrestled.
