Agreed, Long term
I wrote most of this message the other day, during the ACCs and I'll repeat some of it here.
This was known to be a rebuilding year, and I for one, was quite happy watching the guys overachieve in duals - especially the Ohio State dual. I expected no better than 3d at ACCs, and not having Mitch go hurt a lot.
It will be tough for them to be top ten this year at the tournament, but they are doing this without their first Natty Champ in the lineup.
But with the past couple of recruiting classes, Mekhi returning, and the strength young guns like Bryce are already showing, the next two-three years (minimum) could be awesome
Despite losing McFadden next year, the next few years should be great. Imagine a lineup where the higher weights have Mekhi (maybe at 174); Bolen; Borst (down to a much more natural 197) and Catka starting as a true freshman. That could be a murderer's row to match the Epperly through Walz backend of a few years ago! And with some of the light recruits like Latona joining the lineup, that's stacked.
