Been there, done that, but learned quickly....

yeah, perfect is the enemy of good. If you don't like it, maybe take one more shot at it but then be done.Since then, learned to use one of those sponges to smooth things out afterwards which takes the stress out of laying down a perfect spackle.

Somehow those guys on video can do it though.
