There have also been studies that show they don't really have any effect (or at least no evidence of any), especially just cloth masks in most settings people are using them (completely different in a hospital or medical setting using N95 than say a grocery store or outside with a bandana). That's been the most fascinating thing about this pandemic, there seem to be studies that will pretty much show whatever somebody wants to believe.

Also, did the CDC really just change their stance and are now saying it doesn't spread easily via surfaces?
