The whole point might be to find out the effect of mass gatherings...


so the city could prepare for another wave of infections. I kinda agree though it's pretty worthless in that by the time you gather the information those that will be sick will be sick and it will be obvious what the effect was, we'll find out shortly.

Jman's second point I agree with GIVEN that Mayor DeBlasio needs the information wouldn't he make a statement to that effect? That is, this information will not be acted on for legal purposes or something like that.

Back to the first point, I'm not all that sure about first amendment rights here, public health, like wars has been an overiding principle at times. Heck, no gatherings larger than ten people? There you go for one. And we agree with that.
