What little of the starter home market there is overlaps with the rental

market. In fact, I think the rental market has nearly entirely displaced the starter home market.

The last time I sold a house, my wife and I didn't want to try to keep the house clean. (We had a one-year-old and a four-year-old at the time.) We consciously sacrificed some $ to get the house sold quicker.
