I think what you just described indicates that...

...the justice system should not be pressured to move more quickly. The minute we start trying to expediate to appease the social media mob is when I believe the American model of justice will be destroyed. As far as I'm concerned, that process should operate in a vacuum, completely disaffected by what the general public thinks. As you said, the collective rush to judgment often ends up being an incomplete comprehension of any particular storyline, and I feel that pushing due process in that direction is a really dangerous idea. Just my opinion.
