She said the distance learning experience in the spring was a disaster ...


and if it was similar to Loudoun County, she is right. Hopefully they will have better plans and procedures in the fall. I know for a fact in Loudoun County that many teachers were told NOT to teach online because there was a small percentage of students without internet access. That is NOT the way to solve that problem for counties with as much money as Fairfax and Loudoun. My friend that is the IT Director for LCPS said he begged administrators to let his department solve the problem so that teaching could continue and they declined and basically washed their hands of it. Shameful.
