Without a deaths per million context, it wouldn't be a pandemic. What


would you prefer, deaths per hundred, or deaths per thousand? You'd only be increasing your level of perceived inconsequentiality.

In other words, any attempt to realistically contextualize COVID results in a knee-jerk reaction. I bet we could even plot those if we chose to.
