If the Army-Navy Game is still played 1 week after the CCG

then it could still count as a conference game, but not count towards deciding who plays in the CCG. It wouldn't be that much different than how it is now. Meaning the Army-Navy Game still "counts" in terms of the overall records, but it does not "count" towards determining Army's and Navy's bowl eligibility. If Army and/or Navy aren't already bowl eligible by the time the game is played, then the outcome of the Army-Navy Game can't change their status.

Now if both schools want the game to count towards determining who plays in the CCG, then the game would need to be moved to any week prior to Conference Championship Weekend. If the game wants to continue having the most exposure, then playing the game on Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, or Black Friday may make the most sense. If the game is played on Thanksgiving Eve, then both teams would probably need an open date the prior week.
