Exactly. Plus, scheduling becomes problematic with 15 members

Specifically the round robin division requirement and everyone still play the same number of total conference games. The MAC ran into the same problem when it had 13 football members (Temple/UMass being a football-only member). The ACC ran into this year (i.e. no Battle of the Techs) which could explain why the ACC chose to scrap the divisions for this season.
