Uh oh son might get kicked off Middle School football team

Social media is the devil BTW.

It appears that there is a SC High School rule (applies to middle school) that you can't play on a second football team (only football, not other sports) "in season". My son posted a pic of our rec team on Instagram with a 28-0 score. He was proud and they are ranked #6 in NC it appears. One of the coaches for middle school follows him on Instagram it appears and we have violated a SCHL rule by playing in a game.

Going to ask for an exception since the AD/Principal recommended for us to look for rec teams when the district would not commit to football because of COVID.

The three kids affected will all choose the rec team it appears if we are still eligible and forced to choose. Really was looking forward to seeing our team win district. Unfortunately, they will lose 3 of their best 5 players if we get kicked off. Wish me luck.
