Normally that is true here too. However ... (update and resolution also)

with Middle School canceled in NC, all of the players are eligible and this league is loaded. Our team is actually a NC/SC all star team that technically can't practice until November for our all star tournament. However, we now get to be in this rec league to get in a few more months of work than most other teams.

We actually joined this team thinking that middle school may not play at all and wanted another option. Now, we are hedging our bets not knowing if Middle School will cancel.

Update: I just went to the school to talk to the coaches. Long story short, the head coach didn't want to speak to me knowing that he would have to report the violation if he knew about it formally. They are lecturing all of the kids on the rules now. However, for me I was told that if they "find out" about it, my kid would be kicked off the team. I should either "quit the team or have my kids quit social media". Coach asked if I needed help ... told him I've got it.

Time to go radio silent.
