Would absolutely prefer this...


However, it comes down to cost and I would love to reduce my monthly payment as much as possible. Eying the $200k-$225k range right now but can go higher if needed. I should be pre-approved to about $300k but I'd prefer not to go that high. Partly because my goal next year is to buy a house. My goal in two years is to buy a Tesla. So, I'll need the extra money to help with that payment.

My friends live in Fort Mill, SC so I'm aiming more for south Charlotte. Either Matthews or somewhere near there, ideally. I've been there a number of times and like the general layout of it.

If there's any places south of the city I should avoid I'm all ears but that's where I'm looking right now.
