Time off. Every 6-8 weeks I take a week off.
Don’t lift, no HIIT, just some easy walks and mobility work. After about 8 weeks on a program, I’ll start to feel run down. That time off recharges the batteries, let’s any lingering aches heal a bit. Time off has been as short as 4 and as long as 10 days; when I start up again, I typically feel reenergized.
