For those who believe the ND deal with ACC is bad, please explain?

This will be my last post for a while focusing on ND. Not sure why we are giving them the message board equivalent of a proctology exam, but I guess we must b*tch about something in the offseason.

IMHO, the ACC/ND deal has been a win-win for both parties:

* ND gets one of the premier conference homes for basketball and non-rev sports. ND also gets more coverage on the entire East Coast (as if they need it, haha). ND gets coverage on the ACCN. And, ND Football gets a bowl season "insurance policy". In seasons where they don't make the CFP, they get one of the ACC's top bowls (Outback, Camping World, Belk). The downside for them is they lose schedule flexibility by playing 5 ACC teams annually. And they play them all equally - seeing Wake and Duke as often as they see Clemson and FSU.

* ACC gets 5 games annually against ND (almost all nationally televised). Every team plays ND once every 3 years on average. This bolsters the TV inventory with the marquee team in CFP (like it or not). ND keeps higher tier bowls in the ACC fold, with the chance to have ND show up on occasion. Without question, the ND "tie-in" raises the football profile. (I can't come up with any example on how it could possibly lower it.) ACC also gets quality teams for non-rev games - ND is usually good at non-rev sports. Downside is Prestige (ACC has to live with the commentary that we are the only major conference to accept a partial member) and another mouth to feed for non-rev sports. However, some sources have said the ACCN does not happen without ND.

My question to the board is... for those who want the ACC out of the ND deal... Why? What negatives am I missing? And are those negatives greater than the risks to LOWER tv rights, fewer bowl tie-ins and less viewership for ACCN in the future?
