My guess is all 10 FBS conferences would receive an automatic bid

with 2 at-large bids. If the Playoffs doesn't go that route and automatic bids are awarded at some level (i.e. 5 automatic bids for the 5 power conference champions), then the Playoff, Inc. could be in violation of antitrust laws. Now if no conference receives an automatic bid, then the Playoff, Inc. could reserve 1-2 spots for G5 teams and not be in violation of antitrust laws because additional G5 teams could receive an at-large bid in any given season.
