The two worst takes I have heard on this:

1. Sarah Spain said she didn't want automatic bids for conference champions, just the best teams should make it. Stupid, stupid idea. Some At Large bids? Sure. But no automatic bids means it would be all at large and that means 5 SEC teams, Clemson, OSU, and 1 Big12/Pac12 team. How does that help the sport?

2. Anyone that says a team should get a bye. It will be bad enough that seeding will be highly slanted, we shouldn't randomly give anyone a bye unless all conference champs get a bye.
