Are you planning on mixing the concrete yourself or having a contractor
do it? If contractor then go head, considering wood prices I'm not sure a wood floor would be much cheaper. But mix it yourself, no way. A 12 x 10 slab is going to take a crap-ton of bags, probably 150-200 depending on the size of the bag and thickness of the foundation.
Last summer I poured concrete pylons for a ground level deck. I had an electric mixer and it was still backbreaking labor that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. And that was only around 20-25 bags.
