have all the monkeys on his back that Swofford did during his regime of change. As I stated Duke and UNC alums much like ND older alums didn't want any change. Consequently, from blowing the whole thing up he had to go slow versus other Power Conferences. He did a lot of things to save the conference which is why internally the higher ups respect his work. That doesn't always play well with the fans because they don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

The key though, is what will Phillips do to help get the Florida schools back, WADR to VT they are the sleeping giants. We could occasionally become the giant slayers like we used to be beating MIami and FSU in their hey day, but I don't think VT can ever be a Giant with their location. They are to far from their major population areas.
