If your point is that all the P-5 supported this you are likely right, but
that was the same when the ACC wanted Miami, Syracuse and BC first. Then it hit the public and there was huge outcry and it didn’t go through. So it’s not over until the vote is cast, but I have already admitted it is likely.
PS You keep saying that ND’s schedule won’t drop because of a 100+ year history of scheduling tough, that history is true. However, during that history they needed to be in top 2 for most of it and the top 4 recently. Now all they have to do is be in the top 12. This new rule completely changes their motivation to schedule tough. Why not do an SEC thing and schedule light in the middle to late November? In Notre Dame’s case, why not just do it all year? Who can stop them?
