also extremely frustrating for a recruiter to offer a full ride or substantial ride only to watch a kid that could be a program difference maker opt for a substantially less percentage at a high profile baseball school. It has gotten better for VT since joining the ACC but, still not great and just terrible in late 90s and early 00s. It is ironic with the changes going on in collegiate sports professional leagues look to be migrating to minor league models in basketball and football while baseball, the original blueprint for a professional minor league model is moving back toward utilizing the collegiate system more, even with the noted scholarship inequities.
