It would work like the schedule they put together in 2020


In 2020 we had no divisions, but they put together a schedule with 15 including Notre Dame for 10 games. They would do something like that for 8 games with 14. They would have to set up multiple designated rivals that play every year, then some rotation through the other 10.

One I've seen is 3 fixed every year, and then rotate between the other 5 each year so you play everybody every 2 years. This would be an 8 game scheduling model each year. Then the 2 with best record play in the Conference Championship. There would be tie breakers.

I still prefer the quads at 16. I think there are other markets that the ACC needs to get presence in to help the ACC Network. If ND doesn't want to be part of it, I'd prefer doing it anyway. We'd be at 17 for basketball.
