If they match up 1 and 2 at the end, play it on campus. If #1 is undefeated, give them a home game. If neither are undefeated, let the top ranked team play at home. If both are undefeated, then maybe they can play at a neutral campus stadium, which would of course be available if every school is scheduled thusly.

BTW, if they would go to this, I'd add a 9th conference game. Then everyone gets their 4 home and road. The 9th game should be shared gate, revenue, expenses, etc. And the conference can take the home-road thing into consideration from one year to the next to have balance, unless it directly impacts the top teams.
