Maybe conferences will become sport-specific in the future.

Notre Dame is in the Big Ten for ice hockey.
NDSU and SDSU are in the BigXII for wrestling.
Johns Hopkins is in the Big Ten for lacrosse.
It seems weird that the ACC wrestling tournament has only 6 teams.

Maybe non-rev sports, and maybe even MBB will come up with better leagues if they are not tied so much to football.
