In 2003 I was only 38 & a rabid fan DESPERATE for VT to get the ACC nod

now I'm 56 and still love my Hokies, but I don't much care what happens. It'll be interesting to watch for sure, and I hope things turn out as well as possible for us, but this will likely be the beginning of the end of much of what makes college football special.

And I'm not being a Debbie Downer about us possibly being left out in the cold. Tech is almost certain to have a spot in whatever Frankenstein's monster this thing turns into.

Those pulling the strings just better know what they're doing. The US doesn't need another JV NFL. That's been tried before. WE ALREADY HAVE AN NFL and a whole lot of college fans don't give a crap about it. I live in an NFL city and have never come close to going to a game. It just doesn't interest me.
