To your other observations, I will not dispute your statements on the trends, however, for me, it would have taken something horrific(while not pleasant I would not classify last year as horrific) to get rid of a coach after a covid season and amidst a huge number of financial questions.

One final thing, I do not begrudge you or others the opinion that he need(s)(ed) to go. I have a different feeling on the matter of terminating any coach and I have stated it before. I believe given VT's financial position, its assets and its liabilities, VT gets more my mileage in attracting and retaining good coaches with a rep as both a school and a fan base of being patient and giving a coach every opportunity to succeed as opposed to following the UT Volunteer or Auburn model of changing coaches like people change underwear.
