Yeah. Part of the game plan against Clemson was to stay late in the
huddle, line up, and run the play. Clemson was notorious for stealing signs, and Venable making changes to the D on the fly based on the stolen signs. So, audibles, no signs, no stealing of signs, and no Venable changes.
HH kept bringing the team out of the huddle too soon, and allowing Venable to make adjustments. He probably was too hyped up, and just didn't follow the plan. He played poorly, and they put in BB, who I was told "balled" for the 1st TD. Then BB got hurt, and HH came back in. Then comes the "panic" attack mentioned in the article.
imho, HH just doesn't handle pressure well. It also doesn't explain the reactions of the coaching staff during the game.
