If UConn was a member of the ACC, then it is more likely they

would be like Duke or Wake who typically reside in the cellar or around the cellar within a division and even the entire conference. If you look at the history of UConn football, then you will discover the program has never been that "great" even when it was champion of the New England Conference or Yankee/Atlantic 10 Conference. UConn has only participated in the NCAA DI Playoffs (aka FCS Playoffs) one time (1998). In fact, UConn has had the most postseason "success" as a DI-FBS program with six bowl appearances. Now it is possible that UConn would find "success" if it returned to the DI-FCS subdivision even though history says otherwise.
