Both of my kids totaled cars before they turned 18, both hydroplaning on

wet pavement. Both cars had values less than $5k at the time, so phew......Make sure he has a large tank like used vehicle that is safe and you'll sleep better. One of them hasn't had an accident since, the other hydroplaned again post college into a $125k jag., that the other driver had just driven off the dealer lot. Ugggh....fortunately off my insurance by then.
