had everything he needed at Oklahoma and LSU usually doesn't recruit a coach, they select a coach. I also agree that the SEC with ND quietly at their side even though many thought they were partners with the ACC. (Remember the ACC very much helped them have a season in 2020 by including them in the Conference) Six months later they are shown to be partnering with the SEC, Phillips was okay with it at first, remember he worked there and his kids went there. Then the SEC took Texas and Oklahoma thinking the 6 at large bids would make them dominate the playoff. Problem is that woke everyone else. I was screaming about it in June when it first came out, but no one seemed to see what was happening until UT and OU left.

I was angry at TerryD because he was saying ND was never a partner to the ACC, turns out that TerryD is right and now everyone in the ACC is awake to it. It will be interesting to see how the votes go now on them. Phillips may trust them, but a lot of people don't anymore. Why should one team have the same vote as the entire SEC, the entire B1G, the entire ACC, the entire PAC, the entire Big 12 etc.? The sleeping giants have probably finally awaken and Lincoln going to USC-w and LSU having trouble getting a coach, might just be the first proof of that!
