I am sorry, but.....


....you are going to have to explain to me where the "duty" by ND arises and is "owed" by ND to advocate a position that does not benefit it, that limits its playoff chances relative to others.....because the SEC wants an expanded playoff too?

Or because the other conferences worry that too many SEC teams may make the playoffs?

Why should ND go against its own best interests and advocate a position that makes football independence (its preferred status) less attractive rather than more attractive to retain?

Even though you think that ND may "survive" without a vastly expanded playoff, it would harm ND, relative to the other schools, if access is expanded for other schools (all conference champs, etc...) but not at large bids available for ND.

That is what you guys think Jack Swarbrick should have done. No sale.

That leads us right back to ND's independent status, but here we are. Same as it always was.
