Rebuttal

Masks don't work. (not entirely true). Everyone that I work with that has been on a plane with masks has gotten covid. >You put people in a tight box and they're going to pass it around regardless of mask status.

Many are hospitalized. Some have mild cases. The EXACT same can be said of the unvaccinated. (absolutely, totally untrue) >Wrong. Hospitals are full of Vaxxed and unvaxxed. Israel is on of the most Vaxxed nations and they have many in hospitals. The heavily vaxxed states are seeing spikes as big or larger than the unvaxxed.

...and the vaccine is not in any way, shape, or form a true vaccine like smallpox, polio, etc. (again, untrue) > How many cases of measles, smallpox, polio, etc. have you seen lately? Those vaccines are effective. This is a flu shot. An experimental flu shot. It doesn't do anything but MIGHT lessen symptoms and MIGHT protect you from contracting. Completely different that the truly effective vaccines. It's pretty cut and dry.

Get vaxxed and wear PPE if you (generic you) like. You're still almost a likely to catch and spread the Covid Virus as the unvaxxed. (Bizarrely untrue) > with lessened symptoms and more freedom, the vaxxed come in contact with many more people than the unvaxxed. Remember the bouncing ball illustrations? Vaxxinated people are traveling and exposing themselves to many more opportunities to contract the virus. It's a simple matter of exposure and opportunities. The vaxxed have more contacts and that offsets the supposed protection provided by 30+ jabs

Masks work some, good masks work really freakin well... > I can't wait until the tears start flowing about the environmental catastrophe caused by sea kittens choking on mask strings...

The vaccine is effective at both preventing infection and developing severe disease...even with the OMGmicron. > So is having had Covid. So is staying home when sick, so is not licking doorknobs.

vaxxed people ar FAR less likely to get severely ill, and far less likely to catch it in the first place.
> Again we're looking at hospitalization rates to make assumptions. Many people that were severely susceptible to the virus have passed. Many people that ARE susceptible and vaxxed are still contracting the disease and ending up in the hospital.

>This vaccine is not a cure all. We will not beat Covid. It is endemic just like the flu. There will always be a new variant and hopefully they continue to get less severe. We are past the of destroying national economies and personal livelihoods over this thing. Man made or natural doesn't really matter.

My favorite meme on this subject is the one that says the vaccine is effective at preventing covid yet so many are scared of the unvaxxed. Which is it? I'm extremely PRO vaccination. I'm not pro THIS vaccine. I've seen too many clotting, Bell's palsy, heart, and bleeding issues from those close to me to feel it's safe.
