In a non Olympic year, not too bad


In 2020 Rachel Garcia was redshirting and not with UCLA before they called the season. I know in the past Cat Osterman and Danielle Lawrie redshirted Olympic years. However when the Olympics were delayed this past cycle, I don’t think Garcia missed any time in 2021.

This past cycle showed USA softball will work with anyone vs past cycles. Also helped that USA still had Abbott and Osterman who were the work horses and Garcia didn’t get much run anyway.

Most international tournaments are in the summer other than the Pan Am games I think.
