Cal used to be top 10. Stanford seemed to be top 25 every year. Fresno, Fullerton, on and on. With all their money, USC still won't field a team. There are many reasons players leave the state, and great coaches also seem to stay away from the "Golden State". With average head coach pay near what a LA sanitation worker makes, with overtime, why coach there, where do you live? By the way, I'd never send my daughter to UCLA to play softball, but, that's just me. Love our Virginia players! ( 3 Div 1 VA teams in top 20 )
