You don't beat a press with "plays". You beat it

by being a) strong with the ball, and b) off-ball players constantly adjusting position to gaps in the pressure and angles to receive a pass. Depending on the press structure the gaps tend to be near certain spots on the floor, but those are always changing as the ball moves.

Problem is that our team fundamentally does not meet the first requirement, no matter what Mike Young does. Our roster is full of weak ball handlers and subpar (relative to our opponents) athletes. IIWII.
