My thoughts


I was discussing this yesterday. My thoughts are that several of our players came from smaller leagues with good players but not elite players on every team. Also coaching against that level for so long changes mindsets. Elite players are bigger, stronger, quicker and faster. This leads to careless turnovers. Practice passes do not simulate the passes needed in the ACC. As we recruit better bench players those mistakes will go away but for this year we need to really focus on spacing and moving. The games where we have droughts and slumps are the games and runs that our guys are standing around watching. Happened 2nd half against NC State and we then try to make impossible passes with no angle or no juice on the pass allowing those better athletes to get the steal or disruption. 2nd minor issue: watch the dang shot clock. That’s for the coaches and players. Just my two cents.
