But Fr8...it was different when I was a kid...i don't know if it

was global warming now or what not, but they cancelled school and it would really snow or ice. I can't really remember a time we sat out of school when the weather event didnt take place. Obviously, it was crappier technology back then...can't remember sitting in schools seeing the snow fall so maybe it was just luck or living toward the NC coast insulated us from those occurrences during the 80s.

However...in the 2000s and beyond...they have made a few high profile gaffes...govt and meteorolgists. Not sure if you were here in early 2000 but that was a total miss by the weather folks. And in 2004? They wanted to literally hang the mayor for screwing the pooch on an early dismissal...
