SIAC is the other DII historically black conference.

I do think both the CIAA and SIAC have a very good chance to survive as either a DII or new DIII (assuming the power conferences create a new division level) conference. If the power conferences do end up creating a new division level and the gap between the new DII and DIII isn't as large as the current gap between DI and DII in terms of requirements, then you might see more schools make the jump from the new DIII to the new DII. It is possible that both CIAA and SIAC could be forced to add non-HBCUs as replacement members unless they want to tap into HBCUs that are currently NAIA members.
