Re: Depressing read from the Orlando Sentinel
Bianchi is trolling. As usual.
Two realities he skips merrily past:
1. The B12's problems are not the ACC's problems.
2. Cord cutting happens for everybody.
Bianchi vaguely implies that an ACC Network can't happen because well, golly gee, you know, the B12 is having so much trouble and ESPN faces a lot of cord cutting and Swofford is so ninja on the subject. Bianchi is telling a story that doesn't add up even before you consider the credible reports that have come out lately (Teel, Thamel, Brando) to the effect that an ACC Network is on the way.
Bianchi perpetuates the message-board silliness that B1G and SEC turf is magically immune from cord cutting. A trend that supposedly spells doom for everyone else has no power to slow down the cable cash that flows into the B1G and SEC, whose network revenues will presumably skyrocket into infinity.
Another day, another yahoo.
