If the SEC wanted FSU and Clemson, they'd have them already. However...


I do think he's right about the lack of demand for a channel. I love VT football and basketball and I couldn't care less about a network beyond the fact that it's supposed to make us money.

If football is king like we all suspect, it would be interesting if Clemson, FSU, Texas and OU got together to be the core for a football-centric conference. They could invite 8 other schools with big fan bases who are serious about football. They could make a play for ND. No straphangers, no unattractive matchups (Wake, Vandy, etc). From VT's prospective, I'd love to be in such a conference.

That being said, I find this writer to be annoying and not really in tune with the intricacies of realignment.
