Need something to drive viewership in the northern part of the ACC.

I think baseball and softball will do very well in the southern half of our league, but I'm not sure how popular it will be north of DC. I was thrilled to see Boston College make the super regional. Maybe they can get something going. Boston is a baseball town around the Red Sox. But I'm not counting on it.

I think men's lacrosse can help with this, but we need more than Syracuse to do it. UVA and Syracuse have a ton of other teams in that region playing the regular season schedule. We regularly have Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Cornell, Princeton, Georgetown, SUNY Stony Brook, etc. on the schedule. We need to get those games on television. UVA just played at Loyola in Baltimore weekend before last. Loyola had a good crowd for the game.

The ACC should find out from the members if there are any future plans to add men's lacrosse. If not, perhaps this is where we have associate members to get to a 8 team league like Big Ten did with Johns Hopkins. Since we are partnering with the Atlantic 10 over New York City rights to basketball tournaments and scheduling them for basketball. Perhaps we invite the 3 orphaned Atlantic Ten men's lacrosse teams as associate members. They are UMass, St. Joseph's, and Richmond. Then NJIT has just started out as an independent. They are terrible right now, but maybe have plans to invest. ACC games would very much help their recruiting. They are in NYC area. St. Joeseph's is of course Philadelphia.
