Now that you can watch all of the bigs either on conf channels or ESPN3

Look at what you see compared to VT. I know we are hurting at pitcher, but most of the bigs have speed nearly everywhere. Ole Miss will go with 5 or 6 slappers depending on defense. Texas A&M does not have as many slappers but top to bottom have speed. (A&M is the most fit team I have seen)
The only big I see without overwhelming speed is Auburn. They still get it done through awesome hitting. Everyone gets the bat on the ball. VT looks nothing like any of these. Not an efficient short game.

A combination of contact & speed along with 3 or 4 power hitters makes things very difficult for defense. I call it the panic. You can see the defense stressed. Ladies making terrible throws because there is not time. If the ball is not fielded perfectly with a hard charge, no chance against solid slapper.
