The recruiting is insane in softball. I am involved with top travel

teams out of Ohio and the early recruiting is crazy. I understand early offers to the can't miss pitchers (one of them is on my daughter's team, Purdue offer), but some of the other stuff is just ridiculous. From 13 to 18, kids can change dramatically. Most of the time, is weight issues. Most of the firm offers are still going out 9th and 10th grade. In most cases, those that are serious D1 kids are finished recruiting by end of 10th grade unless there are coaching changes at their school of choice.
