I certainly can't speak for other, but I can only drink diet soda

I can't explain it, but for some reason sugar'ed soft drinks make me sick.

About 6-8oz is all of a regular Coke or Pepsi I can drink without my stomach doing cartwheels.

It isn't the amount of sugar. I can eat sugar-laden desserts all day long (which is a whole different problem) without getting an upset stomach.

It isn't the HFCS because I've tried the Pepsi Throwback with real sugar. No difference.

Not sure what it is. But there is something going on.

I've always heard those who don't drink diet soda complain about the taste. But growing up, the only soda my mom ever bought was Tab. When you grow up on Tab, things like Coke Zero and Dr Pepper Ten taste glorious.

So yeah, I'm that guy who goes to Cookout and gets a double cheeseburger, fries, hushpuppies, and a milkshake along with a Coke Zero. But I'm not doing it to kid myself into thinking I'm saving myself some calories. I just can't drink the regular stuff.
